Update on Regional Reorganization - added 12/02/05
The NOLA Board of Trustees, at the November 29 meeting, was presented with reports from NOLA representatives of the NE Regional Task Force Sub-Committees. After considerable review of the information presented, the NOLA Board unanimously voted against proposals by the NE Regional Governance Sub-Committee. Individuals involved with the NE Regional Task Force Sub-Committees, the NE Regional Transition Team, and State Library have been notified of the decision. The NOLA Board has also formally requested time at the December 12, 2005 meeting of the NE Regional Transition Team to present an alternative proposal. The NOLA Board recognizes the need to take a proactive approach in the NE Regional reorganization process and in turn explore all options available to ensure members continue to receive the outstanding products, services, and expertise that is currently enjoyed by the NOLA membership.
